Texas Tech improves to 2-0 with 38-3 win over UTEP
Texas Tech entered the game as a 34 point favorite to beat the UTEP Miners. The Red Raiders improved to 2-0 after a 38-3 win under the lights at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Within the first four minutes of the game, Ta'Zhawn Henry punched in the first score. The Red Raiders got out to an early 7-0 lead.
TJ Vasher had two touchdowns on the night. The first game from a quick pass from Bowman for a 13 yard touchdown. In the third quarter Bowman threw a 30 yard pass to Vasher in the end zone.
Sophomore Dalton Rigdon scored a 49 yard touchdown, which was his first of the season. Grad transfer, Armand Shyne had his second touchdown in two games in the fourth quarter.
Alan Bowman was 30-45 for 260 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.
Linebacker Jordyn Brooks led the defense with 11 tackles.
The Red Raiders hit the road for its first away game on September 14th at Arizona.
