South Plains College brought students together to help give back this holiday season.

The college held a student appreciation event where participants will be bale to make their own stuffed animals. the stuffed animals will then be donated to children in need at the Ronald McDonald House. 

The event was held outside the college bookstore.

"Although we're college students we still have a heart," Danisha Lewis Vice President of student government said. "We still have time to help people out. That's a really good thing that they're taking time out of their day to come and help with this kind of opportunity."

Participating students were entered in a drawing to win a 500 dollar Bluetooth speaker.
