Dangerous travel conditions nationwide due to weather
Winter storms across the country have been causing flight delays this week, and those are expected to continue through today. Double-check your travel itinerary before leaving for the airport. And, be careful behind the wheel, rain and freezing precipitation can make the roadways slick here in our area. Freezing rain is expected this morning, cloudy and cold during the day. Chance of showers tomorrow.
Wash your hands, not your turkey
Food safety experts say washing your bird could cause bacteria to spread, even contaminating other dishes you have nearby. Cook your turkey until it's at least 165 degrees in the thickest part of the breast. But, definitely wash your hands as you prepare your meal today. If you need turkey help today, the Butterball line is open: 1.800.BUTTERBALL.
Oh, what to do with all the leftovers
Dietitian Brenda Garcia joins Meredith to talk about options for your Thanksgiving leftovers. Check the Corner Kitchen tab for these ideas.
